        Scholarship Opportunities for Aspiring  STEM Leaders

        The WOELF Scholarship Program provides more than just financial aid, it offers a comprehensive support system that nutures talent, fosters innovation, encourages leadership in STEM. Through this initiative, we empower students to reach their full potential, develop solutions to real-world problems and drive technological advancements that benefit society.

        Scholarship Eligibility Criteria

        The WOELF Scholarship is open to students and professionals who demonstrate academic excellence, a passion for STEM, and a commitment to using their skills for societal impact. Applicants must meet the following eligibility criteria:

        ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE

        Applicants must be currently enrolled in a recognized tertiary institution (university, polytechnic, or college) or seeking admission into a STEM-related program.

        A minimum CGPA of 3.5/5.0 (or equivalent in other grading systems) for current university students.

        Exceptional performance in science and mathematics subjects for high school applicants.

        FIELD OF STUDY

        The scholarship is available to students pursuing degrees in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) disciplines, including but not limited to:

        Computer Science & Information Technology

        Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace, etc.)

        Mathematics & Statistics

        Physics, Chemistry, and Biological Sciences

        Artificial Intelligence & Robotics

        Data Science & Cybersecurity

        Renewable Energy & Environmental Science

        FINANCIAL NEED

        The applicant must demonstrate a genuine financial need, which may include:

        Limited access to funding for education.

        Evidence of hardship or economic disadvantage.

        LEADERSHIP AND COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT

        Preference is given to applicants who have demonstrated leadership abilities in academic, extracurricular, or community activities.

        Applicants should show a commitment to giving back to their communities through mentorship, volunteer work, or STEM advocacy initiatives.

        PERSONAL STATEMENT AND RECOMMENDATIONS LETTERS

        Applicants must submit a personal statement (500–1000 words) detailing:

        Their passion for STEM.

        How the scholarship will impact their education and future goals.

        Their vision for contributing to the STEM field and society.

        At least one letter of recommendation from a teacher, professor, or mentor who can speak to the applicant’s academic excellence and character.

        APPLICATION PROCESS

        Online Application Submission – Applicants fill out an application form and upload required documents.

        Review & Shortlisting – Applications are assessed based on academic performance, financial need, leadership potential, and commitment to STEM.

        Interview Stage (If Required) – Shortlisted candidates may be invited for a virtual or in-person interview.

        Final Selection & Award – Successful applicants receive notification of their scholarship award and begin their journey as WOELF Scholars.
